You’ve probably heard many people talk about how great coconut oil is and how they use it for a whole variety of purposes, and when it comes down to it, there really is so much that you can do with it when it comes to revamping your beauty routine. One jar of coconut oil can not only last you awhile, but be used in a multitude of ways from your head down to your feet. Let’s discuss just some of the ways a single jar of coconut oil can make a difference in your beauty regimen.
Coconut oil can do wonderful things for your skin, and there’s no better time to try it than now when the weather is still cold and the dry air is doing a number on your skin. You don’t need to use a lot; a little can go a long way. You’re probably not going to want to carry a jar of it around with you, but it’s an excellent option to use when you’re home.
It can be pretty painful when your cuticles start cracking and splitting, especially if you’re trying to put polish on your nails or – even worse – remove the nail polish. A little coconut oil on your cuticles, especially right after you get out of the shower or you wash your hands, can help them look and feel much better.
Did you know that coconut oil can be used as a makeup remover? Yes, it can even work on hard-to-remove makeup. Putting a little on a round cotton pad and running it over the makeup can allow it to easily work its magic; no need to scrub hard or use a lot of it.
Coconut oil can be great to use for shaving your legs, and you probably won’t even need as much as if you were to use shaving cream. It can still allow for a close shave, and it will also moisturize as you go so it won’t leave your legs completely dried out. As a tip, don’t forget to rinse the coconut oil off your hands before you start shaving otherwise the razor is just going to slip right out of your hands or you could cut yourself if you’re holding the razor and it slips the wrong way.
Is your hair looking a little frizzy? All you have to do is rub a very tiny amount of coconut oil in your hands and lightly run it over your hair. Make sure to avoid the roots otherwise it could look quite greasy. In addition to taming the frizz, coconut oil can add a nice little shine to your hair as well.
Even if coconut oil seems like a product you might not have an allergic reaction to, it’s still best to do a patch test for a few days just to make sure. It’s much better to find out via a small spot on your arm rather than after you’ve applied it all over your skin.
